We are seeking an Investigations Lawyer and an Advocacy Lawyer. We're developing our team of FtP lawyers and are looking for talented legal professionals who are passionate about public protection, professional regulation and high-quality decision-making. Whether your expertise lies in investigations or advocacy, or perhaps both, you'll join a collaborative and supportive environment where your work will have a direct impact on maintaining confidence in pharmacy regulation and professional standards.
Investigation Lawyer
Working within a casework pod team structure, our investigation lawyers provide expert legal advice on fitness to practise (FtP) investigations. You will play a key role in shaping investigation strategy, advising on complex evidential and legal issues, and supporting robust, proportionate decision-making in cases that may proceed to the Investigating Committee (IC) or Fitness to Practise Committee (FtPC). This is an opportunity to influence regulatory outcomes at an early stage, helping to ensure investigations are timely, fair and focused on public protection.
We are looking for lawyers with experience in professional regulation, healthcare regulation, disciplinary proceedings, litigation or investigations to take on this role that offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile cases while contributing to the continuous improvement of our enforcement processes.
Advocacy Lawyer
Our Advocacy Lawyers lead the preparation and presentation of FtP cases before statutory committees, supporting the investigation and preparation of cases for hearing.
You will manage a varied caseload, developing hearing strategies, presenting evidence and legal arguments, and advising on complex regulatory matters. Working closely with Investigation Lawyers and casework teams, you will ensure cases are prepared and presented to the highest standard and support fair, robust and effective regulatory decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced advocate with a background in professional or healthcare regulation to undertake high-quality advocacy work that has a direct impact on public protection and professional standards.
