Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our construction team. This role involves applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes in various building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and a broad understanding of related trades such as masonry, carpentry, and construction painting. Duties
- Applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in accordance with project specifications
- Preparing surfaces and repairing as necessary before plaster application
- Mixing plaster materials to the correct consistency using hand or power tools
- Ensuring smooth and even finishes on both interior and exterior surfaces
- Collaborating with other trades teams to coordinate work effectively
- Assisting with fabrication and installation of specialised plaster features or decorative elements
- Maintaining a clean work area and adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in plastering & rendering within the construction industry
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hawks, floats, render spray machines
- Experience operating power tools relevant to construction work
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques and surface preparation methods
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes related to plastering and rendering
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across trades
