Are you a Maths Teacher looking for your next opportunity from October?
We are working with a secondary school in Tonbridge who are looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys teaching Maths through to GCSE level and wants to join a school where they can make a real impact in the classroom.
The school is looking for someone who can step confidently into the role, deliver high-quality lessons and build strong relationships with students. You will be joining an established Maths team and will be supported throughout the placement.
About the role
- Full-time Maths teaching position
- Maternity cover starting in October 2026
- Teaching Maths through to GCSE
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons
- Monitoring and assessing student progress
- Supporting students to develop confidence and achieve strong outcomes
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department
The ideal candidate
We are particularly keen to hear from Maths Teachers who:
- Have QTS or recognised UK teaching experience
- Have a strong background in secondary Maths
- Are confident teaching through to GCSE
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Set high expectations for students
- Can deliver engaging lessons that challenge and support students of different abilities
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Enjoy working collaboratively within a department
- Are committed to helping students achieve their full potential
