At Watermoor House, our housekeeping team helps residents feel comfortable, cared for and truly at home. We are looking for a Deputy Housekeeper to support our Head Housekeeper in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the Home.
About the role
This is a hands-on role with primary responsibility for our laundry service, ensuring residents' clothing and household linen are cared for to a high standard. You will also support housekeeping activities across the Home, help maintain standards, and provide day-to-day support to the Head Housekeeper.

You will:
- Manage the day-to-day laundry service, including residents’ clothing and household linen
- Support high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the Home
- Help monitor housekeeping standards and identify areas requiring attention
- Support the organisation of housekeeping activities across the Home
- Assist with maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Provide guidance and support to housekeeping colleagues where needed
- Act as deputy to the Head Housekeeper, helping to coordinate housekeeping activities and providing cover during periods of absence.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who understands that good housekeeping plays an important part in residents feeling safe, comfortable and at home.
You will be:
- Detail-focused, with high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Comfortable managing a busy laundry service
- Kind and respectful when working around residents
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, reliable and willing to take responsibility
- Willing to follow procedures and learn safe working practices
Experience in housekeeping, laundry, care, hospitality or a similar setting is helpful, but not essential.
