Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Joiner to join our dynamic construction team. As a Site Joiner, you will play a vital role in constructing, installing, and repairing structures on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your expertise in carpentry, joinery, and use of hand and power tools will be essential in delivering quality craftsmanship across a variety of building projects. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install timber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Construct frameworks for walls, floors, roofs, and other structural elements with precision and attention to detail
- Perform roofing tasks including sheathing, flashing, and waterproofing to ensure durable weatherproof structures
- Conduct heavy lifting safely to move materials around the site efficiently and prevent injury
- Apply construction painting techniques for finishing surfaces and preparing structures for occupancy or further work
- Install plumbing fixtures or electrical components as needed in collaboration with specialists
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all activities to maintain a secure working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery within a construction setting
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and measuring devices
- Proficient with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and nail guns
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
