NewtonFirst is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager on behalf of a highly regarded restaurant client situated in a beautiful semi-rural location in East Lothian.

The Role:
- Taking full operational responsibility for the restaurant, including front-of-house and kitchen coordination.
- Leading, motivating, and developing a team of around 15–20 staff.
- Driving sales, managing budgets, and controlling costs to maximise profitability.
- Ensuring exceptional standards of food, service, cleanliness, and compliance.
- Managing rotas, stock control, supplier relationships, and health & safety.
- Delivering a memorable guest experience that drives repeat trade and positive reviews.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a General Manager in either a standalone or group setting.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of meeting financial targets.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for high-quality food and service.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must have a full driving licence and own vehicle due to the rural location with limited public transport.
