Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Ground Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various outdoor construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects. Your hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude will ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in landscape maintenance, and construction while contributing to the beautification and functionality of outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and dumpers with precision and safety awareness
- Support construction activities by preparing sites, digging trenches, laying foundations, or installing fixtures using appropriate equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use
- Assisting plant operators with banksmen / slinger duties as well as working with set levels.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, drainage and landscaping is highly desirable
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, hand tools, excavators, and dumpers
- Practical experience working with construction sites or outdoor maintenance projects
- Ability to follow instructions carefully while working independently or as part of a team
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments

Pay: £17.00-£22.42 per hour
