Shift Pattern: Day shifts (level of flexibility required) with rotational evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and on-call duties

Elysian Field Ltd is an Ofsted-registered Supported Accommodation Provider dedicated to transforming lives. We deliver high-quality, person-centered support services for young people leaving care, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, and young people experiencing homelessness.
We are currently recruiting compassionate, resilient Youth Workers / Key Workers across Coventry and surrounding areas. In this role, you will act as a mentor, advocate, and educator, helping young people aged 16–18 build essential life skills, navigate transition periods, and achieve long-term independence.
(Please note: This is a professional supported accommodation key working role, not a live-in position or personal care role).
Key Responsibilities
- Independent Living Skills: Teach, encourage, and mentor young people in budgeting, cooking, domestic skills, and personal maintenance using positive reinforcement.
- Support Planning: Develop, implement, and update detailed, individualized Support Plans and comprehensive Risk Assessments.
- Behavior Management: Positively manage and constructively challenge negative behaviors, guiding residents toward education, employment, and healthy choices.
- Community Transport: Escort young people to college, medical appointments, job interviews, and community leisure activities.
- Multi-Agency Liaison: Collaborate closely with social workers, local authorities, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
- Professional Documentation: Write clear, objective, and professional daily shift reports, incident logs, and developmental progress notes.
- Housekeeping: Support young people with general domestic responsibilities to maintain safe, clean, and welcoming accommodation.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 12 months of active experience working with children and young people aged 16+ inside the UK care or supported housing sector.
- Driving Credentials: Full UK Driving Licence, access to your own vehicle during working hours, and valid Business Car Insurance (Essential).
- Education: Level 2 or 3 qualification in Children & Young People, Social Care, or Youth Work (or a strong willingness to work toward one with full company support).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written English for professional report writing, alongside confident, warm verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility: Full flexibility to work rotational weekends, bank holidays, and participate in the on-call rota.
- Right to Work: Must possess the unrestricted right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
