About Crushed Ice
Join the team at Crushed Ice, a growing bespoke software and IT services company based in Olney, Buckinghamshire. We've recently relocated to expand our operations and take on exciting new projects that solve real business challenges for SMEs and enterprises across the UK.
What makes us different? We believe in building lasting relationships with our clients, not just delivering a service. Our unique all-inclusive monthly fee model makes bespoke solutions accessible to businesses of all sizes, and our "no-ticket" support philosophy means you'll work directly with clients - essentially as an extended member of their team. We specialise in custom business management systems, seamless integrations, mobile apps, e-commerce platforms, and managed IT support that genuinely transforms how our clients operate.
The Role
We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer to take ownership of the visual side of our work. This is a genuinely varied role - one week you might be designing the interface for a bespoke business system, the next you could be developing a brand identity from scratch or producing a campaign's worth of marketing imagery.
You'll work closely with our development team and directly with clients, which means your design decisions get built and shipped rather than sitting in a folder. If you like having a genuine impact, seeing your work go live and want real variety across projects and industries, this will suit you well.
Key Responsibilities
- Design website and web application interfaces, working alongside our developers to bring them to life
- Create logos and develop complete brand identities for new and existing clients
- Produce brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across client projects
- Design marketing imagery for digital campaigns, social media, and print
- Produce assets for mobile applications and e-commerce platforms
- Work directly with clients to understand their requirements and present design concepts
- Contribute to our own brand, website, and marketing materials
- Manage multiple projects and work to agreed deadlines
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in graphic design, whether commercial, freelance, or through a strong portfolio from self-directed work
- Confidence with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Figma
- A solid grounding in typography, layout, colour, and composition
- Experience with logo design and brand identity work
- An understanding of designing for the web, including responsive layouts, accessibility considerations, and what is practical to build
- The ability to take a brief, ask the right questions, and present your thinking
- Well organised, with the ability to juggle several projects at once
- A portfolio is essential - we want to see how you think, not just the finished pieces
Desirable Skills
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS - you do not need to be a developer, but understanding how designs get built would be an advantage
- Experience designing mobile app interfaces for iOS and Android
- UI/UX experience, including wireframing, prototyping, and user flows
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing
- Print production knowledge and experience preparing artwork for press
- Experience designing for e-commerce
- Illustration skills
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries

- Comprehensive private health insurance following probation completion
- Company uniform following probation completion

- Direct client interaction and relationship-building experience
- Diverse project portfolio spanning multiple industries
