Join a growing, forward-thinking nationwide roofing contractor working with a select portfolio of blue-chip clients. We're seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead our safety strategy and ensure best-in-class standards across our operations.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, utilising root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance, including recommendations for improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure adherence to established health and safety standards.
- Foster a proactive health and safety culture by engaging employees in safety initiatives.
- Oversee health and safety compliance across multiple roofing sites nationwide, nights out may often be required.
Experience
- Proven experience in a health and safety management role within a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in report writing with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques to effectively address workplace incidents.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Requirements
- NEBOSH Qualification or Similar (Minimum Requirement)
- Experience in construction or roofing sectors preferred.
