A opportunity has arisen to join a small but growing team at our kindergarten based at Whiteley Woods Outdoor Activity Centre. We only opened in October 2023 and achieved an 'outstanding' grading with OFSTED in 2025. Our children's numbers are continuously increasing and we're needing to grow our small team of practitioners to accomodate the additional enquiries from parents.
Our kindergarten follows a child-led approach, and offers a mixed-age learning environment for children aged 2-8 years, and a separate area for our youngest children aged 2 and under.
We are looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to join our team on either a part or full time basis, working either 3, 4 or 5 days a week depending on the applicants preference. This role is working in our over 2's area with our children of preschool and home education ages, however we do also have a open vacancy for a practitioner to join our team working in our new 'Kits' area with our youngest children who are aged 1 & 2 years old if this is where your interests or experiences lay.
For either role, you must have experience in Early Years and hold a relevant early years qualification (minimum of level 3) and have knowledge in meeting the needs of Ofsted and the EYFS.
Although we are a fully outdoor kindergarten, you do not need a forest school qualification to join our team. All you need to succeed in the outdoors is a passion for outdoor education, an enjoyment in being in the outdoors and a resilience to embrace the weather throughout the year!
Quickly you'll learn skills in cooking on a fire, creating shelters, and adapting everything you've learnt in an indoor nursery/school to the outdoor environment.
