Duties
- Serve drinks and organise orders efficiently and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing regulations
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the till system
- Provide friendly and professional service, engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with setting up for busy periods or special events
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest behaviour and managing intoxication levels
- Assist in closing procedures, including cleaning work surfaces and securing cash registers
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Good time management to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required
