CHEF WANTED – £550–£650 TAKE-HOME PAY PER WEEK
Tired of working in kitchens where you're just another number?
· Typical take-home pay £550–£650 per week (varies with experience, hours and responsibilities). Advertised rate includes tronc/tips.
· Last bookings 8:30 pm — no regular super-late finishes
· No split shifts
· 45-hour week (5 days over 7)
· 2 days off per week
· 28 days annual leave
· Paid overtime or time off in lieu
· Full share of tronc/tips
At the Castle Inn, Spofforth we’re looking for a talented, hardworking Chef to join our busy countryside pub and become part of a close-knit team that takes pride in serving great food and creating a fantastic customer experience. Join a small independent kitchen where good food and teamwork matter.
Opportunities for development and a full training and induction programme will be provided.
The ideal candidate:
· Proven track record delivering freshly prepared, high-quality food
· Experience producing good fresh food at volume
· Able to work as part of a team with potential to progress
· Familiar with food safety and regulatory operating standards
· Organised under pressure during busy services
Key responsibilities:
· Oversee food preparation and cooking on your section to ensure high-quality dishes
· Maintain food safety and kitchen cleanliness
· Support and train junior kitchen staff; foster teamwork
· Manage inventory and assist with food prep planning
· Ensure timely service and resolve issues during prep and service
· Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance the guest experience
· Additional information:
Full-time, 5 days over 7
Hourly rates available, including full share of tips
28 days holiday entitlement per year
Paid for extra hours worked
Due to our rural location, public transport may be difficult from some areas — please check your route before applying
