Duties
- Assist with site preparation by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring a safe working environment
- Dig trenches, holes, and foundations using hand tools and machinery under supervision
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment needed for groundworks activities
- Support the installation of drainage systems, concrete bases, and other foundational elements
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure worksite for yourself and colleagues
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the site by disposing of waste and organizing tools and materials
Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour throughout the workday
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Willingness to learn new skills related to groundworks operations
- Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members
