JOB DESCRIPTION
LUNCHTIME COVER ASSISTANT
Reports to: Nursery Manager
Job Purpose: Working as part of a team giving a constant high level of quality care in line with the National Care Standards and the Nursery’s aims and objectives to all children, parents within our Nursery.
Main Responsibilities:
- To work as part of the Team ensuring that the Nursery is running in accordance with the ‘Health and Social Care Standards’, Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland
- To assist with the serving of lunch to the children which creates a positive environment for the children in line with “Setting of the Table”
- To interact with a positive and social manner towards all children in your care
- Supervise and support all children at all times
- Ensure the individual children’s needs are met, to include feeding, nappy changing and sleep time
- Contribute to the environment to ensure that the rooms are welcoming and attractive
- To cover house keeping duties, this will include laundry and general cleanliness of the nursery
- Read, understand and implement all nursery policies, procedures and operational practices
- Notify the Manager of any concerns or issues regarding to nursery policies
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained where appropriate

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Musselburgh, East Lothian: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
