Opportunity
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Modern Apprentice Charities Administrator to join our Charity Law team based in our Edinburgh office. The position is on a full-time 12 month fixed-term basis and is fully based in the office, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
This role is an entry level position and will provide administrative assistance to the Charity Law team.
As a Modern Apprentice you will support the handling of written, email and telephone enquiries from clients, members of the public and other stakeholders, ensuring queries are directed or responded to appropriately. This role will require the successful candidate to support with preparing papers, correspondence and documentation for meetings, ensuring materials are accurate and issued in a timely manner.
The Modern Apprentice will help with processing income receipts and payments, while helping to monitor and track daily and ongoing tasks. Other general office tasks will be required for example, answering departmental calls and emails, managing diaries and photocopying and printing.
You will be working full-time whilst working towards completing the Level 6 in Business and Administration.
Skills/Qualifications
The successful candidate is expected to have strong administration and organisation skills with an aptitude for learning in a changing environment.
Good communication skills both written and oral, and high attention to detail is essential. Strong pc skills including basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required. Full training will be provided on the various systems used throughout the Firm.
The individual will be able to work as part of a team in order to meet sometimes tight deadlines. A high level of discretion and confidentiality is needed for this role as you will be exposed to highly sensitive information.
