Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation and organise table settings as needed
- Upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of service
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service roles
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach
