Job Role: Mobile Plant fitter
Location: Field based covering Essex
Basic Salary: £41,000 - £60,000+ with paid travel & overtime
Hours: 40 hours basic (08:00 - 16:30) - Monday - Friday
Additional Benefits: Company Van, Fuel Card & Paid Travel Door to Door
Overview of Role
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a growing team covering Essex. This is a mobile, field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and delivering first-class service on-site.
You'll be carrying out repairs, servicing, diagnostics, and overhauls on a wide range of mobile plant machinery, from excavators and shovels to dumpers and telehandlers.
Key Responsibilities for the Mobile Plant Fitter role:
- Carry out Service, Maintenance and Repairs across all equipment
- Undertake computer based diagnostics & fault finding
- Perform major overhauls and mechanical rebuilds where required
- Work independently using your own initiative to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records and service reports
Essential Requirements
- City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications relating to construction machinery maintenance & repair
- OR recent hands-on experience working as a Mobile Plant Fitter
- Solid mechanical knowledge across diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Good problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic
