Senior Kitchen Designer
Kitchen Gallery is one of the UK's longest-established luxury kitchen retailers, proudly representing SieMatic for over 30 years alongside world-leading appliance brands including Gaggenau, Bora, Miele, Siemens studioLine, Sub-Zero & Wolf and Quooker.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Kitchen Designer to join our team at our Birmingham Mailbox and Hockley Heath showrooms.
This is a senior client-facing role suited to an accomplished designer with a proven history of delivering exceptional luxury kitchen projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from initial enquiry through to completion, combining outstanding design ability with commercial awareness, technical expertise and excellent relationship management.
The successful candidate will be confident engaging with private clients, architects, interior designers, developers, contractors and specialist suppliers while maintaining the highest standards of customer experience throughout every stage of the design journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead luxury kitchen projects from initial consultation through to installation.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding both their functional requirements and design aspirations.
- Produce innovative kitchen designs using Winner and supporting CAD software.
- Prepare plans, elevations, lighting layouts, M&E drawings and technical documentation.
- Specify cabinetry, appliances, worktops, lighting and associated products.
- Conduct site surveys and accurately assess technical constraints.
- Present concepts and design proposals with confidence.
- Prepare quotations, specifications and project documentation.
- Negotiate and close high-value sales opportunities.
- Liaise with architects, builders, interior designers, project managers and installers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support showroom presentation and ensure displays reflect Kitchen Gallery's luxury positioning.
- Assist with networking events, supplier presentations and client events.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A proven track record selling and designing luxury kitchens.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to consistently achieve sales targets.
- Excellent technical knowledge of kitchen furniture, appliances and installation requirements.
- Experience producing accurate technical drawings and specifications.
- Winner Design software experience advantageous.
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks and Sketchup
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, builders, contractors and suppliers.
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
- A passion for design and exceptional customer service.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Birmingham B1 1RD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
Experience:
- Interior design: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
