Job Summary
Join our small construction team as a Builders Labourer, where your energy and enthusiasm will contribute to exciting building projects. In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople by preparing sites, handling materials, and supporting the smooth progress of construction activities. Your proactive approach and willingness to learn will help ensure safety, efficiency, and quality on every project. Must be able to get to sites around burton on Trent.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Load, unload, and organize building materials and tools efficiently on-site
- Support tradespeople by holding or passing tools and materials as needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
- Help with basic site maintenance tasks such as cleaning and waste disposal
- Assist in setting up scaffolding, temporary structures, or other equipment under supervision
- Report any hazards or issues immediately to supervisors to prevent accidents or delays
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites
- Reliable punctuality and good communication skills
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Valid work authorization for the location of employment
