The Company:
We are a medium sized family-owned engineering company specialising in the fabrication and installation of steel chimney’s, flue systems, secondary steelwork and staircases that require an industry experienced RWC Welding Inspector to join the team.
The ideal candidate will be able to :-
· Have detailed knowledge of BS 1090 Exc 2 & 3
· Liaise with our EWE for all Exc 3 projects
· Be able to complete Technical Reviews of all Exc 2 & 3 projects
· Be qualified to carry out NDT Welding inspections (Visual, MPI and UT – PCN/CSWIP)
· Be able to maintain all training records for welder qualifications
· Be able to produce WPS’s
· Be able to produce weld maps and route cards for all EXC 3 projects.
· Attend and witness material property testing as required.
· Be able to ensure all welding consumables are correctly stored and are traceable
· Ensure all welding machines are maintained and calibrated
· Engage in the BS 3834 audit process.
· Review welding techniques to improve productivity and quality control including distortion control procedures.
A ‘can do’ mentality and the ability to self-manage are imperative to your success in this role.
Skills required:
Good basic IT skills are essential to the role, such as Word/Excel/Outlook.
Benefits:
£35-40,000.00 Salary depending on previous experience.
