Position Summary
We are looking for a part time receptionist (1-2 days per week) to join our practice. Our receptionist serves as the first point of contact for our clients. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing our reception desk operations, handling administrative tasks, and supporting the accounting office staff to ensure smooth and professional running of the office.
We are looking for an individual to job share with our existing receptionist, this position would be ideal for an individual who wishes to work within a professional office environment but on a part time basis. Depending on experience and qualifications (AAT or similar) there may be the possibility for the right candidate to help assist with other types work within the practice in addition to the receptionist role.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
- Schedule and confirm client appointments and meetings.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain client records and update information in firm databases.
- Assist with document preparation, filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Support during peak periods by coordinating client paperwork and communications.
- Handle confidential financial and client information with discretion.
- Assist accounting office staff with various administrative tasks.
- Other adhoc duties as required.
Qualifications/experience
- Pass (or grade equivalent) in GCSE English and Maths.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service role is preferred.
- Experience in an accounting, financial services, or professional office environment is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions
- Part time office-based position, days worked are negotiable but would be consecutive if 2 days.
- Standard business hours (8.30-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30-4pm on Fridays) with occasional overtime during peak business periods or to cover holiday.
Salary
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
