Job Summary

Duties
- Lead a nursery room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones and learning goals
- Manage daily routines including meal times, naps, play sessions, and hygiene practices in accordance with regulatory standards
- Support and mentor junior staff members, promoting teamwork and professional growth
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, needs, and achievements
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and incident reports
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards
Experience
- Proven management experience within childcare settings or nurseries
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Childcare or nursery experience combined with qualifications in early childhood education or equivalent
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles involving transportation or home visits
