Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Children’s Residential Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team at a EBD home in Irby, CH61
Working 2 on 4 off £60 a sleep, for an established company in a great EBD home with a good Ofsted.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day running of the residential home, ensuring high standards of care and safety are maintained at all times
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including those with complex behavioral or emotional challenges
- Supervise and mentor care staff, fostering a motivated team committed to delivering exceptional care and support
- Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols for children requiring medication
- Promote a positive environment that encourages children's independence, self-esteem, and social skills through engaging activities and consistent routines
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety checks to maintain a secure living environment for children and staff
- Collaborate with external professionals such as social workers, health practitioners, and educational providers to support each child's holistic development
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3/4 in Children & Young Peoples Workforce.
- Senior experience in an Ofsted registered home.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, medication administration, and regulatory compliance standards for children’s services
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of caring professionals
- Compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Driving Licence
