Curtains Made Simple is an internet-based soft furnishings business, established 15 years ago, that prides itself on high levels of customer service. You will be joining the team at an EXCITING time just as we are looking to grow the business substantially with a NEW rebranded website in the coming months. This is a key position and as the business expands there is potential for it to develop and for responsibilities to be increased.
We are looking for a high-energy, super-organised individual with an eye for detail, who enjoys spinning plates and delivering excellent customer satisfaction
You will be responsible for managing operations with fabric suppliers, leading a small team of curtain makers and servicing the needs of customers by phone and by email.
You will be working in a friendly environment as part of a small team in a business that truly values their staff.
We pride ourselves in providing excellent training and support, and furthermore encourage our staff to contribute ideas to develop and improve the business & the processes for maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Team leader for small group of curtain / blind makers
- Line manage a team of three freelance curtain / blind makers plus a larger curtain making business
- Manage the order workflow
Management of Fabric Suppliers
- Place and manage fabric orders with suppliers.
- Develop relationships with fabric brand representatives
Customer Service
- Take pre-order enquiries by phone and email from online customers
- Create quotes for prospective customers
- Resolve difficulties and issues with online orders
- Manage customer changes, track order progress & update customers
Business Development & Digital Marketing
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to help improve business processes
- Participate in the ActionCoach business development programme
- Help with digital marketing; social media, newsletter and other online marketing activities
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Delivers exceptional care & service to all customers
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills / business acumen
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Will consider a variety of administrative, operational and logistics experience
