Star Soccer Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Girls Academy Lead Coach to take responsibility for coaching within our growing girls' player development programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about the development of female players and wants to play an important role in helping us continue to grow the girls' side of Star Soccer Academy.
You'll work with talented and enthusiastic young players in a positive academy environment where the focus is on technical development, confidence, creativity and helping players become increasingly comfortable making their own decisions on the pitch.
The Role
As Girls Academy Lead Coach, you will:
- Lead high-quality Girls Academy coaching sessions every Monday evening
- Plan structured, progressive and age-appropriate practices
- Create a positive environment where players feel confident to express themselves
- Implement Star Soccer Academy's coaching philosophy and player development principles
- Develop players technically, tactically, physically and psychologically
- Challenge players appropriately according to their ability
- Monitor individual player development and contribute to player reviews
- Build strong relationships with players and parents
- Work closely with the Academy Director and wider coaching team
- Help shape and grow the future of the Star Soccer Academy girls' pathway
Hours
- 3 hours every Monday evening
- Consistent weekly coaching role
- Additional coaching opportunities may become available for the right candidate
Essential Requirements
- UEFA C Licence minimum
- Previous experience coaching youth football
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to plan and lead engaging, progressive sessions
- Passion for long-term player development
- Positive, professional and reliable approach
- Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Safeguarding Children qualification
- Emergency First Aid in Football or equivalent
Desirable Requirements
- UEFA B Licence
- Experience coaching girls' football
- Experience within an academy, development centre or advanced grassroots environment
- Experience leading an age-group or player development programme
- Knowledge of individual player development and review processes
