Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team at Riverview, Durham. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times, adhering to health regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and handling transactions efficiently.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining organisation and efficiency during busy periods.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including basic maths for transactions and change.
- Uphold company standards for serving food and beverages responsibly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Previous Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure hygienic preparation and service.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness.
- Ability to assist with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining quality standards.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
