As a Housing Service Officer based within Housing Management you will be motivated and proactive, with your key role being to support our Tenancy Enablement teams which includes our Safeguarding Partnership, Sustainment and Money Advice officers. The post holder will work with colleagues across the organisation in line with Kirklees Council’s core behaviours and values. You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s purpose, vision and objectives, ensuring positive outcomes for the business and Homes and Neighbourhood’s customers.
As a Housing Service Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of customer focused services. You will require excellent communication and customer service skills along with a positive and sensitive manner. As well as phone calls, you will be expected to respond to messages and emails. Where possible you will be expected to resolve issues at the first point of contact. You will provide appropriate business support, maintaining and monitoring information, requests and referrals using various procedures and systems
You will be required to access various computer systems to log, record, extract information and update customer records. Therefore, you will require accurate keyboard skills, have an understanding of GDPR and confidentiality issues relating to customer information which may be of a safeguarding nature.
