Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Clear tables and assist with setting up for subsequent guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, including basic maths calculations.
- Uphold food safety regulations and ensure proper handling of food and beverages at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are equally valued.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and serving procedures.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and billing accurately.
- Good organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to manage busy service periods effectively.
- Experience or familiarity with food preparation, kitchen operations, or culinary environments is advantageous.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
