We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Maker/Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality signage and expertly fitting it in various locations to ensure clear, attractive, and durable displays. Your craftsmanship will directly impact the visibility and professionalism of our clients’ branding efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of materials and designs, bringing creative concepts to life with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Cut, shape, and assemble sign components using a range of tools and materials such as vinyl, acrylic, metal, and wood
- Apply graphics, lettering, and finishes accurately according to design specifications
- Measure and mark surfaces to ensure precise placement of signage fixtures
- Fit signs securely in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety
- Conduct quality checks on finished signs for adherence to standards and client expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand design requirements and provide expert advice on installation options
Skills
- Proven experience in sign making, fitting, or related craftsmanship roles
- Strong knowledge of sign fabrication techniques and materials
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent measurement skills with attention to detail for precise installation
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy signs and working at heights if necessary
- Clear communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients
- Ability to follow technical drawings, instructions, and safety procedures accurately
