CLS Contract Labour Solutions are supporting our client in Pontefract, who manufacture precision engineered enclosures. We are looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to manufacture high-quality acoustic enclosures to exact specifications.
The Role
You will fabricate and weld metal components, working from engineering drawings and ensuring finished products meet the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
- Measure, mark out, cut and bend materials accurately.
- Fabricate and construct metal components and assemblies.
- Check drawings and specifications before starting work.
- Grind and finish completed products.
- Carry out quality checks and complete inspection sheets.
- Ensure all required components are available for assembly.
- Follow company health & safety procedures.
About You
- Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator/Welder.
- Experience working with mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet.
- Experience working with materials from approximately 0.9mm to 30mm, including mild steel from 2mm–10mm.
- Confident reading and interpreting 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
- Strong metal fabrication and welding skills.
- Good mathematical and engineering ability.
- Able to use a range of metal fabrication tools.
- Able to handle and manipulate large metal components.
- Overhead crane experience is advantageous.
- Welding qualifications/certification are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Hours & Pay
- 40 hours per week
- Days: 7:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 7:00am–1:00pm Friday.
- Afters: 4:00pm–2:30am, Monday to Thursday.
- Afters shift includes a 20% shift allowance.

Pay: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
