Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver Class 2 to join NEXO TALENT. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating flatbed lorries to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, primarily with flatbed configurations, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely arrival at each destination.
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during operations.
Qualifications
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism on the road.
- Good understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Ability to organise deliveries efficiently and work independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks as required.
