About the Role
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to engage fully in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs
- Implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and headteacher
- Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Encourage independence and confidence in learning
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children with special educational needs (e.g. autism, speech and language needs, ADHD, or social/emotional difficulties)
- Is patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting all learners
- Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs
- Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
