An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced RMN to lead and manage our 22 bed Adult Acute mental health ward within General Adult Services. Lomond Ward is located on the edge of the green and picturesque Stratheden site, which also accommodates neighbouring rehab, low secure and intensive psychiatric care wards providing a strong peer network.
Applications for this post are invited from experienced RMN’s who are passionate about high quality person-centred care. Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills with a good knowledge and experience of working within adult inpatient services with a client group presenting with a range of mental health needs. Duties will include clinical care delivery and management tasks.
There is a requirement to participate in the site Duty Nurse (bleep 200) rota. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop further experience of service change and development, and management of staff. They will be self motivated and have highly developed problem solving skills, flexibility and high-level communication skills. The applicant will be expected to be educated to degree level or equivalent level of skill gained through experience.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
