Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Contracts Manager to oversee and coordinate roofing projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, able to demonstrate a strong understanding of bit writing and tender processes, proven capability managing works and site set up's pre & post contract works, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong management, negotiation, and construction experience to contribute to a reputable organisation specialising in roofing solutions.
Responsibilities
· Lead and manage multiple roofing projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
· Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favourable terms.
· Coordinate with site teams, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
· Monitor progress regularly, adjusting schedules as necessary using organisational tools such as Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all sites.
· Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders through regular updates and meetings.
· Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing materials and managing delivery schedules.
· Supervise project documentation, including contracts, reports, and progress records.
· Drive continuous improvement by analysing project performance and implementing best practices.
Skills
· Proven management experience within the construction or roofing industry.
· Demonstrate a strong understanding of bid writing and tender processes.
· Proven capability managing works and site set up's during Pre & Post contract works.
· Strong negotiation skills to secure optimal contractual agreements.
· In depth knowledge and understanding of the construction contracts, commercial control, risk management & budget controls.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Good communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
· Valid driving licence for site visits and client meetings.
· Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding technical requirements and site operations.
