Mahdlo Youth Zone is a young people’s charity based in Oldham with a vision to empower Oldham’s young people to thrive through excellent youth work. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a highly motivated and pro-active person to the role of Junior Zone Coordinator.
The post holder will lead and coordinate our Junior Zone offer, developing and delivering high-quality youth work programmes for members aged 8–12 years, while supporting the delivery of our Holiday Zone provision. You will lead a minimum of three sessions each week and provide direct line management, coaching and support to coordinators, sessional youth workers and volunteers, ensuring young people receive safe, engaging and developmental opportunities that reflect their needs and interests.
The ideal candidate will have experience of planning and delivering youth work programmes, leading activities and working face-to-face with diverse groups of young people, alongside supervising and developing staff and volunteers. You will have a strong understanding of safeguarding best practice, be committed to promoting inclusion and youth voice, and be confident working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to deliver an outstanding offer for young people across Oldham.
