Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Evening Cleaner to join our professional cleaning team based in Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
This is a lone working position, requiring an individual who is self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently while delivering exceptional cleaning standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of communal areas within a commercial building, including stairwells and toilet facilities. Office cleaning is not required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain stairwells, corridors, toilets, and other communal areas to a high standard.
- Clean, sanitise, and replenish toilet facilities, including soap, paper products, and other consumables.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust designated areas as required.
- Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly, and maintain tidy waste collection points.
- Carry out regular stock checks of cleaning supplies and consumables.
- Liaise with Head Office to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and replenishment orders are requested in a timely manner.
- Utilise appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure all areas are hygienic and presentable.
- Report any maintenance issues, defects, damages, or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Complete scheduled cleaning tasks within designated timeframes and maintain company standards throughout each shift.
About You
- Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Flexible and committed to delivering a consistent, high-quality service.
