Role overview:
As a Mechanical & Electrical / Civils Project Manager, you will be responsible for the entire scope required for the successful delivery of projects, including civil, mechanical, and electrical elements.
Accountabilities:
- Lead, manage and develop others
- QA planning & closeout
- Program & planning management
- Sub-contract management
- Plant and tools
- Labour
- Materials
- Site safety & documentation
- Weekly construction meeting
- Project-based client communication
You will deliver these by complying with the client and Cairn Cross processes, specifically, Project Management, Health & Safety, Commercial, Risk & Value and Budget.
Mechanical & Electrical Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery and integration of mechanical and electrical works within civil engineering projects.
This may include:
- Electrical installations, including lighting, power distribution, containment, and building services
- Mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, water services, CET systems and depot infrastructure
- Coordination of M&E subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring M&E installations comply with relevant regulations and design specifications
- Reviewing technical drawings and specifications for M&E elements
- Supporting commissioning, testing and handover of M&E systems
The Person
- Project management experience across a range of high-value projects and programmes would be an advantage
- Knowledge or experience of mechanical and electrical building services or infrastructure works would be beneficial
- Computer-literate and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Must be a hardworking individual who is willing to learn
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Some experience in the industry at some level would be beneficial
- Should be able to focus on attention to detail
- Must be able to manage their time efficiently
- Experience across the full project lifecycle
The Specifics:
- Location: Nationwide with visits to our head office in Morley, Leeds
- Hours: 08:00am – 17:00pm
- Contract: Full-time / Permanent
- Salary: Competitive based on experience
- The role will involve working away from home and some travel across the UK.
