Job Summary Are you an experienced practitioner ready to shape a room from the ground up? Castle Nursery & Pre-School is seeking a warm, capable Room Leader for Guardian House, our newly refurbished setting in Godalming. Featuring 5 purpose-built rooms, age-zoned outdoor areas, and an allotment where kids grow their own produce, this is an exciting chance to join a growing team from day one.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead your room team to deliver warm, high-quality care and EYFS education.
- Manage room operations, routines, staff deployment, and correct ratios.
- Act as a Key Person and oversee tracking and observations across the room.
- Plan and evaluate engaging, nature-focused activities that spark curiosity.
- Support safeguarding as a senior team member, prioritizing child welfare.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers.
Requirements
Essential:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- Solid early years experience (ideally with Room Leader, senior, or supervisory experience).
- Up-to-date knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding protocols.
- Confident, inspiring leadership style and a passion for outdoor/nature-based learning.
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid and formal Safeguarding training (support provided to obtain these).
Work Location: In person (Godalming)

Pay: Up to £33,000.00 per year
