Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented UPVC Window & Door Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate site surveys and measurements for UPVC, aluminium and composite windows and doors, ensuring that all products are correctly specified and suitable for installation.
You will assess existing openings, identify potential installation issues, take precise measurements, and produce clear survey information for our manufacturing and installation teams. Your knowledge and attention to detail will play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly from initial survey through to successful completion.

Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate site surveys and measurements for UPVC windows and doors
- Assess existing openings, structures and surrounding finishes to identify any potential installation issues
- Take precise measurements and record relevant dimensions, specifications and site requirements
- Determine appropriate window and door configurations, including opening styles, sizes, profiles, glass specifications and accessories
- Identify potential risks or complications before products are manufactured or installed
- Check properties and openings for suitability and advise on any remedial work that may be required
- Produce clear and accurate survey reports, measurements and installation instructions
- Liaise with customers, installers, manufacturers and internal teams to ensure survey information is communicated effectively
- Provide professional advice to customers regarding product options and installation requirements
- Ensure all surveys comply with relevant building regulations, industry standards and company procedures
- Attend follow-up visits where required to resolve measurement or specification queries
- Maintain a high level of accuracy to minimise manufacturing errors, delays and installation issues
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience surveying UPVC windows and doors, or a strong background in the window and door industry
- NVQ Level 2 Glass Related Operations, or equivalent relevant qualification
- Excellent knowledge of window and door products, profiles, glass, hardware and installation requirements
- Strong understanding of building construction and existing property structures
- Excellent measuring and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to identify potential installation problems before manufacture
- Confident interpreting technical drawings, specifications and survey documentation
- Knowledge of window and door design software, such as Tommy Trinder, is desirable
- Good understanding of relevant building regulations and industry standards
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage survey appointments effectively
- Competent using tablets, smartphones and computer-based survey/reporting system
