Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Cleaner BS32 to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within our nursery facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are kept spotless, safe, and welcoming for children, staff, and visitors. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to cleaning duties.
Working hours are 5.30pm to 8.30pm Monday to Friday ( if you like Friday night off cleaning can be done over weekend ready for Monday morning)
Duties
- Perform daily cleaning of nursery rooms, play areas, restrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised regularly to meet health and safety standards
- Dispose of waste materials safely and efficiently
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during cleaning activities
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning equipment and materials
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Adhere to infection control procedures, especially in high-touch areas
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to nursery or childcare environments is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines diligently
