Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting the Head Chef with kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation assistants.
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Contribute to menu development, recipe creation, and seasonal specials.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health standards.
- Support training programmes for new team members and ongoing staff development.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting.
- Extensive food production and culinary experience, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Excellent food preparation, cooking, and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting is essential.
- Good understanding of hospitality standards, including serving procedures and customer service excellence.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and organise a diverse team effectively.

Pay: £32,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
