The Rose & Crown is independent pub, resturant, and B&B, just outside York's historic city walls. We are looking for someone to join our kitchen team in line with growing demand for our food.
The right candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic and cool under pressure.
The job will entail reporting to the head chef, requiring all aspects of the kitchen work to be covered. Primarily pot washing, responsibilities will include keeping the sections clean, tidy, and sanitised, according to health and saftey regulations. Cadidates should have an eye for detail, be proactive, and willing to learn and assist in other areas of prep and service.
This is an ideal position for someone starting out in the industry, and looking to learn and develop skills in a professional kitchen enviroment.
Shifts are flexible, and we are happy to work around existing commitments. However, evening and weekend availability, as well as some public holidays will be required.
We are looking for someone for a reasonably immediate start, so applicants need to be available to work for at least the majority of the summer period.
