Job Overview
We have a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse operative to join our team.
As a valued member of the team, you’ll play a role in ensuring our warehouse runs efficiently, accurately, and safely. We are dealing with time sensitive freight, and the morning and evening operation is extremely busy and fast-paced; this is a key role within the team, to ensure the operation is efficient and effective. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with equipment such as forklifts are highly desirable. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritising safety at all times.
Key responsibilities:
· Loading and unloading trailers and drivers.
· Checking pallets have been declared correctly with size and weight and raising discrepancies if not.
· Checking for any damaged pallets and reporting accordingly.
· Supporting warehouse organisation by maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
· Heavy lifting of goods up to specified weight limits while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
· Good communication and organisational skills
· Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar environment
· Flexible, positive can-do attitude
· Good attention to detail
· Able to work under pressure
· Counterbalance forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
· Health & Safety awareness (desirable)
Hours of work will be 45 hours per week. Flexibility is required due to the demands of the business. Weekend work will also be available.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £31,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
