This is an exciting opportunity to work flexibly within our children's residential services, providing high-quality care and support to young people who have experienced significant challenges in their lives.
As a Sessional Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment where children and young people can thrive, develop independence, and build brighter futures.
About the Role
Working across our residential homes, you will:
- Support children and young people in their day-to-day lives
- Build positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes
- Encourage participation in education, hobbies and community activities
- Assist with daily routines, appointments and activities
- Support young people through emotional and behavioural challenges
- Complete accurate records and contribute to care planning
- Work as part of a dedicated team providing consistent, child-centred care
What We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals who:
- Have a genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Can remain calm, resilient and professional in challenging situations
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Are flexible and willing to work across different residential settings
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting welfare
Previous experience within residential childcare, social care, education, youth work or a related field would be advantageous but is not essential.
