An excellent primary school inCamden is seeking an experiencedSEN Teaching Assistant to support aYear 2 pupil with Autism on aone-to-one basis.
The pupil is bright and capable but requires support withcommunication, emotional regulation, transitions, and maintaining engagement throughout the school day. The school is looking for acalm, consistent, and proactive individual who can build a positive relationship and help the child thrive both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience supporting children withAutism.
- Be confident implementing strategies recommended byoutside agencies.
- Support the pupil both in class and duringless structured times.
- Work closely with theSENCO, class teacher, and parents.
- Have apatient and nurturing approach.
Experience withAutism and communication strategies would be highly desirable.
