Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic handling of laundry within our establishment. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, contributing to a positive guest experience.
Duties
- Collect, sort, and load laundry into washing machines and dryers according to established procedures
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Fold, iron, and package clean linen and clothing items for distribution or storage
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report any shortages or issues
- Ensure all laundry is processed within designated timeframes to meet operational demands
- Follow hygiene standards rigorously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure guest safety
Requirements
- Prior experience in a care home or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to operational needs
Shifts 8.00am to 2.00pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Pay: £12.71 per hour
