Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of laundry items in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction, making it a vital part of our operations.
Duties
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect items for damage or stains and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding laundry services.
Skills
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in laundry processing.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
- Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and their safe handling is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
