Join Valley Pharmacy at the beginning of an exciting new chapter
Valley Pharmacy is a brand new independent community pharmacy based within Hednesford Valley Health Centre. We’re looking for two qualified Pharmacy Dispensers to join our team as we establish and grow our new pharmacy.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building a pharmacy which will be known for professionalism, excellent patient care and outstanding customer service.
About the Role
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll support the pharmacist in delivering high quality pharmacy services and will be expected to work across all areas of the pharmacy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dispensing NHS and private prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Serving patients on the medicines counter
- Supporting the delivery of NHS and private pharmacy services
- Receiving, checking and managing stock and deliveries
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised dispensary
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Using pharmacy IT systems and a range of online platforms as part of your daily role
- Working closely with the pharmacy team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care
- Maintaining accurate records and following pharmacy SOPs to ensure compliance with legal and professional standards and company policies
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or an equivalent recognised dispensing qualification)
- Has previous community pharmacy experience
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in working accurately
- Remains calm and organised when working in a busy environment
- Is friendly, professional and approachable
- Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Is reliable with excellent attendance
- Is confident using computers and comfortable learning new software and digital systems
- Enjoys working across a variety of tasks throughout the day
- Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service
- Is willing to support the wider team and help wherever needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly
- Has a passion for Pharmacy.
Experience using RxWeb is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
