Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of vehicles, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Mix and match colours accurately to achieve desired finishes
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns or brushes, maintaining consistent quality throughout each project
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist in surface preparation and finishing processes
- Perform quality checks on painted vehicles to ensure adherence to company standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist with minor repairs or touch-ups as required to achieve flawless finishes
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle surfaces and painting techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes
- Experience with power tools including spray guns and sanders is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finish quality
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
